If you were a Catholic speaker and found yourself traveling to a city to give multiple talks in three different locations, you’d probably want to tell people about it, wouldn’t you?
Well, I’m heading to the Baltimore area this week, and if you’re a friend, follower, or subscriber, I’d love to see you.
Tomorrow evening (November 9) I’ll be speaking at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish in Ellicott City at 7pm. The talk is titled “Living on a Prayer: How to Pray when You Can’t,” so if you’re an expert on prayer and never struggle to pray, this talk isn’t for you. For the rest of us, let’s talk about some practical tips and what an active prayer life might look like for the lay, busy Catholic.
Thursday morning, I’m excited to talk to one of my favorite women’s groups of all time, TASTE. I’m in awe of these women, who get together every week for Mass, a talk, small group, and prayer. EVERY WEEK! I’ve been going out to speak to them for several years now, and I always come away from their company more on fire and renewed in my own faith. These women are the real deal. My talk on Thursday is focused on the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary as Eucharistic Mysteries.
The following week, beginning Sunday night, I’ll be speaking at the 40 Hours for St. Agnes Church in Baltimore (November 13-15). Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will continue during the day each day, with my talk at 7pm each night. The three talks are titled Capernaum, Jerusalem, and Emmaus, and we’ll talk about the Eucharist in terms of the kingdom of God, the liturgy, and evangelization.
If you are in the area and can join us, great! If not, please pray for me and everyone in attendance. May we all have hearts open to the Holy Spirit!
Our monthly bible studies, office hours, and conversations about Scripture continue in the Living 1 John 1 community. In the coming weeks, I’ll be announcing our next book study and teasing our first online course… stay tuned!
Will keep YOU in prayers as you travel and as you speak, share, and witness!!
